HAT@2 is a Japanese electro-pop girl group duo from Tokyo, Japan, consisting of lead vocal Allie and lead keyboardist つまTSUMA#. They were able to debut under a home label in 2005 and made their transition to a major label the very next year. Following this event they were signed onto Avex Group and was trained for two years. They made their official album debut in 2009 with the mini album JOKE@2: The 1st Mini Album. The album was able to debut at the top across all major music charts and established them as a strong coming force. The trio are recognised as the most popular elctro-pop artist in Japan behind Perfume.

As of December 2012, the group has released four mini albums, one each year consecutively and three were successfully at peaking music charts. On March 18, 2013 the group issued a formal announcment that they will be leaving their current agency, which they have been with since the very beginning in 2006. No reasons were disclosed and officials announced the trio will be transferred to another label, named Aozora Records. Both member dislikes appearing in real life and takes as less official appearanes as possible.
