Welcome to the Tutorials WikiProject, a collaboration area and group of editors dedicated to adding and maintaining tutorials for RPG Maker.
(For more information on WikiProjects, please see Wikipedia:WikiProject).
- Goals
- Add existing tutorials.
- Create Images and other helpful addons to existing tutorials.
- Create new tutorials to aid RPG Maker users.

Guidelines
- A tutorial should have a specific purpose in mind - what exactly is it trying to teach? It should also be detailed - if there's any chance a reader might not understand an instruction, try to explain it better. If you ask them to import a resource, mention the menu path to the import screen (of course, after doing this once you can assume the reader understands how to do this again).
- Providing images explaining what is going on in the tutorial is also very useful, but don't overdo it - between the shots there should be enough of a difference that it helps the reader find out where they're supposed to be and what they're supposed to be doing. Also, if you're providing a screen shot, try to cut out the Start bar or any other extra fluff - people might be able to see someone's username on your buddy list, not to mention cutting images down saves space.
- Do not forget to credit the proper author! The original author of a tutorial should be listed at the top - any additional authors may be listed at the bottom in a section titled, "Article Contributors", mentioning what they added to the tutorial. This is more of a common sense thing - if you made one or two little corrections, you do not qualify as a contributor, but if enough of it is yours such that without it the article would be noticeably different (A new sections, a few images to help), then you are a contributor.
The exception would be when a tutorial was a collaborative project, or if the original author is not the main contributor. In that case, listing the main authors at the top is appropriate. Use common sense here.
- Try to notify an author if you are going upload their tutorial or massively change it. Tutorials are the property of their author(s). If you're taking a tutorial from Charas or another forum and putting it on the wiki, try to drop an email linking to the article. Some people may not want their work on the wiki and should have the ability to request it's removal. If someone requests an article be deleted, notify an admin and they will verify that it is the original author and delete the article.
- Put all tutorials in the Tutorials: namespace! A tutorial may have a name that could clash with a legitimate article. Any tutorial should be named, "Tutorials: Name of Tutorial".
Open tasks
Pretty much everything. A good start is to upload the tutorials on Charas.

Articles that Need Help
Save Point Names Tutorial by Sai'Kar - Needs better formatting - a "code" template would help.
Templates
- Template:Code (made to look like the PHP Code box on the forums)
