When Daetyrnis joined in 2004 (as Ruler of the Dark), he like other members, was incredably n00bish.  His first post (February 2, 2004, 6:13 pm) used the word ''ur'' instead of ''your'', and the word ''I'' was not capitalized.  This brings him much shame, as he is now grammatically correct to an extreme degree, and is annoyed highly by texttalk.  His first thread, which was posted in April 2004, was titled ''My new game'' and consisted of three low-quality screenshots and a few one-liners about the alleged plotline.  After little more than one day, Daetyrnis dropped the game he posted about and started a new one (consisting of even less information than his previous game).  This game too was dropped soon after.  Daetyrnis made several Request Threads (for others to request in), though each was abandoned after a while.  Daetyrnis's commitment level has been proven low, time and time again.

Daetyrnis did not post much during this time, and thus little resulted from this period.  His grammar and spelling improved, and he began to show talent for programming with RPGMaker as well as for spriting.  Though not posting much, he viewed the current threads on most days.  As October 2006 drew near, Daetyrnis drifted away from Charas, and barely even viewed the forums anymore.  He had found another forum that caught his interest, and he had, in effect, migrated there.  On October 5th, 2006, Daetyrnis decided that he should become an active member of Charas.  He created a new account to match his common username, and began to post.

Though the exact date that Daetyrnis started using RPGMaker 2003 is unknown, he has used it for more than two years, and has explored every faucet of the program.  Through his own experiments, and by observing the techniques of others, he is a self-proclaimed expert of RPGMaker.

Daetyrnis took a great liking to RPG Maker 2003 and explored the many things that it could do.  Presently, he considers himself a "master" of the application, even though he has no finished games good enough to post on the internets to prove it.  After time, Daetyrnis grew bored with RPG Maker, especially when he realized that to create anything great in it, one has to work around the limitations built in (such as only 50 pictures, lack of concise methods to handle many cases, etc.), and has moved on to learn about actual programming.  Every once in a while, Daetyrnis takes a crack at RPG Maker again, planning epic games and wonderful battle systems, only to become frustrated once again at the inadequacy of the program.

Though he never made any horrible sprites, Daetyrnis really came into his own recently, perhaps during the summer of 2006.  He enjoyed the game ''Fire Emblem'' and loved the style of sprites in it, and he tried to emulate their appearence.  At this point, he didn't do very well at a sprite from scratch.  Only slightly deterred by the result, he proceeded to try his hand at some basic edits and splices, the result is seen in the last thread he posted as Ruler of the Dark.[http://charas-project.net/forum/showthread.php?threadid=16779&forumid=30&catid=6] He moved onto semi-custom edits, and eventually, full-blown customs.  The time of his spriting improvement is when he left Charas for another forum, and ended up being regarded as a wondeful sprite artist there. Daetyrnis is a carefree person, who loves to have fun.  He is generally spontaneous and enjoys a good laugh.  He is very clumsy, and he like Chicken.  Daetyrnis is very specific about grammar and spelling, and sometimes can be a perfectionist in this regard.  He excels intellectually, as he was enrolled in an Enhanced Learning Class from grades two through eight (before going to the artsy school XP).  He likes coming across as smart over the internet, and loves to use logic to defeat his foes.  Daetyrnis particularly detest idiots, and all people who act n00bish.

Whe Daetyrnis registered as Ruler of the Dark, he had a liking of badgers, and thus made his avatar a badger.  Ever since then, he has always had a badger avatar, excluding a few occasions.  Upon changing his avatar, he was advised to change it back to the badger, "or else".

Daetyrnis joined Charas early 2004, and like most members, acted like a complete idiot (also n00b) before realizing that posting illiterately does not make one "cool". Charas was the first forum that he joined, and thus his early internet experiences are shown in his first few posts, which include words such as ur, i, and other forms of bastardized English. Daetyrnis's lack of commitment was shown early on, with a new game proposal every few days, each often reusing the same cliche plotline. He also started several threads to take requests for RPG Maker resources, though his lack of commitment caused all to be eventually either closed or left to deteriorate.
