Story of an American Boy (Christian) and his Japanese Step-Sister (Hope) going through hard times in a interracial family.

Christian's father was on a business trip to Japan and met a Japanese widow and her daughter. The two love each other and were engaged. Now for those who are confused with this, Christian's mother passed away a long time ago and his father had to leave him with his grandparents, relatives, or babysitter while he's off to work or on a business trip. Christian's father wrote to him from Japan that he's got a new mother and he won't have to live with his grandparents.

Christian's Step-sister's Father also passed away.
