Josh and Ruko Taylor takes Shin Nohara on a cross country vacation. Running from a meddling abusive adoptive parents who treats Eddie Sakurada as a servant, runs off with Patty Sakurada to Ocean View Estates, Florida, for the search of family life with his biological mother. But Eddie and Patty are abused as damaged goods, lonely, he soon sets off on foot for Sesame Street. Can his old friends find him before he runs "afowl" of trouble en route?
Shin chan is the central character in this film. Miss Finch, a social worker, upon seeing that he doesn't live with other birds, sets him up to be adopted by a Dodo family. Unfortunately, he is not happy in his new surroundings and, trying to get back to Sesame Street, runs away from there. On the way, he encounters adventure with all kinds of people, and discovers where he really wants to be: his true home-Sesame Street.

Ed-kun/Eddie: I'm only five years old, and I cook, clean, and fix broken dishes, with no school to go.
Mr. Taylor "Josh-chan": uh! [sweatdrop]
[Ed-kun/Eddie sees the whole class with sweatdrops]

Ed-kun/Eddie: I'm not allowed to have friends. I have to go home to cook, clean and fix my parents' dishes.
Penny: Oh well.
[Then looks at Shin seeing like he's been hit]
Ed-kun/Eddie: But your friend always looks blue today!
Penny: Well, I don't guess I can argue with that. Come in.

Penny: [to Shin] He looks worse than I thought!
Patty: [Notices Ed-kun is still on the computer] Ed-kun, aren't you supposed to go home?
Shin: But Penny's Mom, he's groaning sad!
[Patty goes into the closet and pounds Happiness Bunny]
Penny: Are you going home now?
Ed-kun/Eddie: Well, maybe in a minute. I sure need to use the bathroom.

Abusive Father: What's Super... Super...
[struggles with the name of the school]
Abusive Father: Superbleh
Ed-kun/Eddie: Uh, Super Happy Fun Time American School.
Abusive Father: Yeah.
Ed-kun/Eddie: Well, that's my best school.
Abusive Mother: What kind of a school teaches you?
[the abusive couple laugh]
Abusive Father: But your best learning is to be our servant.
Ed-kun/Eddie: Why?
Abusive Mother: Because you're a servant. Isn't that right, Daddy?
Abusive Father: That's right. And you should be cooking and cleaning.
Abusive Mother: And fix broken dishes you done. Now come on out and make us dinner.
Ed-kun/Eddie: But I don't want to fix broken dishes, cook and clean. I want to learn, love, play, and sleep. And if I can't learn anything, I don't want to be here anymore. I want to find my real biological mother!
Abusive Mother: We'll you're not our son!...
Abusive Father: Oh, okay. We'll punish you for not cleaning.

Abusive Mother: [find out they mistakenly kidnapped Patty] This is not Ed-kun! You are imposters!
