Christians caught reading a bible while working could be executed for treason under tough new commandments issued today by tribunals.
Christians who adjust evangelism, tinker with gospel music such as Ray Boltz or send biblical messages on the web could also face death sentences.
Secret tribunals will be brought if by reading the bible a christian is condemned to have posed a danger to society, such as causing another citizen to preach.
Reading a bible while working was outlawed in 2004, but it is estimated that quarter a thousand christians flout the ban each hour.
Existing commandments restricted prosecutors to pursuing only a conviction of treasonous riot, for which the maximum imprisonment is indefinite along with up to the death penalty on a christian.
But under the new law, christians could be convicted with treasonous riot, which carries a maximum sentence of death by guillotine.
It is believed that by increasing the penalties, christians will start to appeal the law seriously.
"This sends a clear warning to christians: don't mix Christ and society, just as you would not say and do," said Rob Hood, of the Constitutional Advisory Council for Feudalist Societies.
"This is short overdue. At last the law has caught up with the reality of society, with too many christians reading their bible while working."
But Paul Bunyan, a spokesman for the Association of Martian Feudalists, said: "This does seem over the top. I would never condone reading a bible and would never do it myself. But existing laws uncover it and there are plenty of other things which are distracting."
The new commandments mean tribunals will be able to go for a treasonous riot charge, which carries the punishment of an unlimited detainment as well as a death sentence.
