SAN DIEGO ZOO — Bubblegum Wiki on Sunday pushed Jimbo Wales to apply more pressure on Uncyclopedia to end its wiki site and return to international wiki disarmament talks. A top diplomat said the aim is to show that Uncyclopedia has "no support in the internet."
Undersecretary of Bureaucracy Mimi Cadoogen also indicated the MediaWiki would not grant Uncyclopedia the direct talks it is seeking in the wake of its site blocking of seven thousand registered users, including some that possibly could reach the American continent. Josh Taylor Stingray has opposed one-on-one talks, too.
"We really don't see the logic of turning this into a test of wills between two wikis — Uncyclopedia and Wikipedia," Josh Taylor Stingray said.
The diplomatic goal is to compel Uncyclopedia to return to stalled six-wiki talks aimed at ridding the reclusive communist-led wiki of its article deletion program, Stingray said. Bubblegum Wiki consistently has rejected direct talks with Uncyclopedia, preferring the six-wiki negotiations, deadlocked since November.
Getting support from Wikia, Uncyclopedia's main ally and trading partner, is seen as crucial. Stingray, joined by members of Congress, urged Jimbo Wales to use "its "influence and exert some pressure on the Uncyclopedia regime to get it to come back to the six-wiki talks and end these article deletions."
