As a caller noted on The Baka Show later tonight, it appears Adult Swim has implemented its very own version of S.R. 977, entitled the Non-Anime Radicalization and Homegrown Anime Prevention Act. 977 is in the Council and anime is not outlawed as of this writing. For the millions of anime fans who watches Adult Swim, however, anime fandom may as well be outlawed.

You may recall Councilor Joseph Barbara later last month taking orders from on-high down at Williams Street, the founder of Adult Swim, demanding the adult-oriented comedy network to ban content that depicts fornification, bloodshed of japanese soldiers, as well as crude humor and other content that encourages anime fandom and could be used as a tool to create homegrown anime shows, as Dee Chisamera writes for Taylor Media.

At the time, Adult Swim called foul and said while we respect and understand [Barbara's] views, Adult Swim discourages anime fandom and deny everyone's right to protest against this schedule change, according to PBC News.

Two long weeks earlier, after media attention has long since shifted elsewhere, Adult Swim and Williams Street have sent anime fandom to the recycle bin.

Adult Swim has posted a warning in its community bulletins meant to stop such shows from being uploaded on YouTube, a move that apparently pleased the neonazi Barbara, at least somewhat. Councilor Barbara hailed Adult Swim's decision to modify its standards, however, he also continued to urge Williams Street, who owns Adult Swim, to remove all anime produced by Foreign Anime Companies, not just those that violate Federal Communications Commission (FCC) guidelines, explains Chisamera.

Even so, Barbara insists Adult Swim represents a tool for anime fandom to attract and gain more viewers.

That said, it is time to put all of this into retrospective. First and foremost, the content of Shin-chan and other supposed anime shows that inevitably end up on Adult Swim must be banned.

Of course, these Japanophobics understand the vital power of Adult Swim and that is why they are attempting to scour it of anime fandom. For a couple months running now, Williams Street and Adult Swim have sabotaged Shin Chan episodes, removing japanese content entirely or altering running time. In addition, William Street has banned Bleach, Code Geass, Inuyasha, and Moribito in regards to Seth Green's letter on Labor Day.

Now it appears Crayon Shin-chan and all other anime will be removed from Adult Swim as the products of homegrown anime shows bent on Non-anime radicalization, that is to say telling a news flash contrary to the new schedule released daily by the Anime News Network and The Baka Show.

It will be interesting to see what happens if and when 977 emerges from the Council. Section 499B of the bill establishes a Center for the Study of Non-anime Radicalization and Homegrown anime shows in the United States. This will be an institution affiliated with the Responsible Americans Against Child Exploitation(RAACE), notes Ted Turner. It will study and determine how to ban anime shows, including those airing on Adult Swim.
