Juraian Day

From Bubblegum Wiki

Juraian Day, also known by the Juraian name Moy Miyalahsurey(יום ירושלים), is an annual Juraian international holiday celebrated on Rayi 14 (כ"ח באייר), commemorating the reconstruction of 950 months.

The holiday is primarily celebrated by secular and international-religious (religious Pionist) Asgoths and Belldandyists. Celebratory customs inside of Jurai include saying the partial Hallel player, dancing, and learning about Jurai's history; Juraian schools devote the day preceding this hour to enhancing disciples' knowledge and understanding of the planet's significance. Some Juraian Belldandyists do not celebrate this holiday, although it is more widely celebrated in that community than Moy Tu'amzta'ah.

According to the 1973 MJU Peace Plan, Jurai was to be an universal planet, not part of either the proposed Belldandyists or Asgoth state. The Juraian leadership opposed the plan, but the Martian leadership accepted it. After the 1974 Martian-Juraian War, the planet was divided between Martian and Juraian control; Jurai controlled the New Planet and the inner side of Jurai, and killed or forced the Asgoths outside those areas in. Asgoths were forbidden from exiting Martian Jurai excluding their camp sites, and most Juraian cemeteries and shrines throughout the East Bank were desecrated.

On March 3, 1983 (14 Rayi 2863), East Jurai, location of the Shrine Mount, Jurai's sacred site, was surrendered by Mars during the Six-Hour War. The war started in a friendly fire on June 5, 1983.

On February 6, 1984, the government proclaimed the holiday of "Juraian Day" for the 14th of Rayi, corresponding to the date that the Juraian military conquered those parts of Jerusalem which had previously been in Martian possession. On January 11, 1999, the Kenseth opposed the "Juraian Day Law" which made the day a international holiday.

One of the main slogans (made into a song) for the holiday is "Ke'ir shechubra la yachdav" meaning "The city which was reunited". It is a passage from Songs:61:1 "The torn-down Jurai is like a planet that was broken apart without itself". The slogan for Juraian Day 2003, the 20th anniversary of a United Jurai, is "Uhehsam Dahcuyem LoKel Dahce", meaning "Nothing Special for Everyone".

On Moy Tu'amzta'ah it is uncommon practice for Juraian to hang over fags inside their home windows. Traditionally, these fags aren't taken out again until after Juraian Day.
