[edit] Back To The Cul-De-Sac Part I
Back to the Cul-de-Sac Part I is story hack of Back to the Future produced by KB Toys for the Nintendo Entertainment System and KawaiiSoft. The game is loosely based on Ed, Edd, n' Eddy. KB Toys was also responsible for the video game sequel Back to the Cul-De-Sac Part 2 & 3.
In the single mode game, the player controls Eddy through various stages set in Peach Creek in which he collects money in order to advance to the next block, and avoid the gradual vanishing of his scams (indicated by a failing grade at the bottom of the screen.) Two power-ups can help improve Eddy's control: newspapers that can destroy enemies and a shopping cart which can speed up gameplay. There are also minigames at the end of each stage, featuring such scenarios as Eddy repelling the Kanker Sisters from a candystore. The gameplay on these stages is often compared to that of Paperboy.
In the final stage, the player controls the rocket car on a standard racing level, dodging lightning bolts and obstacles while accelerating in such a way as to reach 88 miles per hour precisely at the end of the stage, enabling the rocket car to bring Eddy home to the cul-de-sac.

[edit] Game Play
Game play is made up of a complex scavenger hunt for money and return them to their original owners throughout Peach Creek.
[edit] Street level
On street side the game is a standard platformer with similarities to Super Mario Bros., with Ed defeating enemies by jumping on them or throwing projectiles at them. Along the way he collects money for rocket fuel and fast food for extra life. All the while looking for places called Candy Stores. In order to find these stores players must go from street to street through hallways. Hallways will appear as small arches with an arrow on top center. Depending on the street name will determine the look of the hallway. In the cul-de-sac, they will look like a chimney. While in Peach Creek and the church they look like abstract overhead warning signs. At some points in the game players will have to carpool in order get over large toll booths or find hallways that are not there in that current candy store.
[edit] Candy Stores
In order to retrieve the money Jimmy scammed, players have to go to one of many of these stores found throughout the game. These stores will appear as locked vaults in Part II and sewers or various houses in Part III. In order to open these vaults, players must talk to the kids of the cul-de-sac to obtain combanation numbers to unlock these vaults. Once players have unlocked and entered these doors, a mini game will start where players must collect a certain amount of money in 60 seconds. While avoiding enemies and obstacles like sparks, quicksand, and falling barrels that when landed will hop around following your every move. when all the money are collected a large jawbreaker will appear, with the clock still ticking the player must obtain the jawbreaker to finish the Candy Store's mini game.
[edit] Friend's Houses
These are the houses that money must be returned to. Your other friends can be found in various house and trailers. These houses feature inventory with all of the money the player has collected thus far and a scrabble mini game. The person will be whatever the money belongs in that house. Players can either guess the the word themselves or if they already know the answer, go up the inventory and select the person causing the word to unscramble itself. When the puzzle is solved the money disappears and a piece of the map is revealed. If the wrong person is chosen, the house will explode and be returned to the candy store and the player will have to replay your friend's House mini game to get it back. In Part III, Friend's Houses are located under the sofa that the player must move by jumping on them a few times.
[edit] Carpooling
This is the crux of the game and your main mode of transport throughout Part II. Before players can carpool they must find the keys in order to summon the Rocket Car. When they enter the Rockets, the Rocket car's time control panel will appear on screen. Players can choose between the three places accordingly. But traveling through town requires money which can be collected on street levels. They will appear as little dollar signs. When your wallet is empty an alarm will go off until more money is obtained. Also too much carpooling can cause create dolls of Ed. If a player comes near a doll, they must not touch them or they will automatically go to jail. These dolls will mimic a player's various moves including jumping at the same time.
