Season One of Taylor Media's Shin Chan adaptation aired in late April of 2006 on Saturdays and weeknights during Late Night Crayon. The twenty-seven episodes aired were composed of vignettes that were similar to Toon Maker's Inc. None of the episodes used were prior to the original, and only one vignette was digitally animated.

The first season was a success, and prompted Crayon Films to create a complete second season.
