HB Journal for Oct 23, 1939
From Brackbillwiki
Off on a happy start for another new day and another new week.
We were all tickled at the mill this morning when Schnuppie, overcoat, and hat came strolling down to the mill to assume his duties as salesman pro tem.
In the afternoon I got a nice long trip to N. Holland and Lancaster. A few rats were badly scared but none killed.
After supper Jane ironed and complained of her ailments while I read, shaved & got ready for bed.
"It's a long road that knows no turnings."
