HB Journal for Oct 21, 1940
From Brackbillwiki
It surely was dreary & cold this morning, and as the day grew older, the skies got cloudier.
The wife did the washing but it didn't dry too well.
Harold and I were not over run but had enough company to make it interesting. Mr. Young was there nearly all day for a change.
We had supper as usual. After supper I watched Ira Ressler fix the furnace in the other side of the house. Then I was child's nurse to Evelyn Jane while her mother went down home visiting most of the evening.
