Lady Catelyn of House Tully is the first daughter of Hoster Tully, Lord of Riverrun and Lady Minisa of House Whent. She is married to Eddard Stark, Lord of Winterfell. They have five children, Robb, Sansa, Arya, Brandon and Rickon.
She is a follower of the Faith of the Seven.
Her mother died in childbed.

Returning home Eddard went to the godswood to cleanse himself and his sword. The children gathered in the kitchen to argue about names for the pups. Catelyn received news of the death of Jon Arryn, Lord of the Eyrie and that King Robert Baratheon was traveling to Winterfell with the royal family. She went to see Eddard in the godswood and told him the news.
