Tywin of House Lannister, is Lord of Casterly Rock, Warden of the West and Shield of Lannisport. He was wed to Lady Joanna, a cousin. They have three children, Ser Jaime of the Kingsguard, Cersei, married to King Robert Baratheon, and Tyrion.

Lady Joanna Lannister died giving birth to their second son, the dwarf Tyrion.
