Tyrion Lannister

Tyrion of House Lannister, called the Imp, is the second son of Tywin Lannister, Lord of Casterly Rock and Lady Joanna. He is a dwarf.

His mother died in childbed.

After the sudden death of the Hand of the King, Jon Arryn, Lord of the Eyrie Robert Baratheon, King of the Seven Kingdoms decided to travel north with the royal family to see Eddard Stark, Lord of Winterfell. Tyrion was among those following the king.

Robert Baratheon, King of the Seven Kingdoms arrived at Winterfell. Tyrion was among the three hundred travelling with him along with Queen Cersei, Prince Joffrey Baratheon, Princess Myrcella Baratheon, Prince Tommen Baratheon, Ser Jaime Lannister, two other knights of the Kingsguard, and Sandor Clegane. Cersei and her younger children had travelled there in a wheelhouse. They were met at the gates by Eddard Stark, Lord of Winterfell, his wife Lady Catelyn and their children, Robb, Sansa, Arya, Brandon and Rickon. On Robert's request he and Eddard left the others and went down to the crypt.

Description

He is a stunted little man, half his brother's height, a head too large for his body, a squashed-in face beneath a swollen shelf of brow, blond almost white hair and one green and one black eye.
