Aroshi

Aroshi Yamabiko is the High Red Maji of the Centrian Empire. Historically he has had designs upon the throne, seeking to end the age of inflexible dictatorship. He currently (as of 12/2007) has, through a series of partially unconstrained events, ended up in charge -- an interim King after the late King Centronis' assassination. He will attempt to remain in office and fix the problems caused by Dragon White until the Crown Princess Sierra Centronis turns 18 and returns to take Centria's throne.

Although Aroshi seems to have a personality mask for every situation, when he is in Centria City, he is quiet but eloquent. The further he goes from Centria, the more flippant and rowdy he gets. Regardless location, he is polite and diplomatic to everyone, even those he despises. His actual emotions and feelings are kept buried under years and years of experience in politics and even more years of troubling history. He will come off as mysterious, charismatic, non-judgmental, easy-going, and over all on top of things to anyone who doesn't know him well -- which, at this point, is everyone.

Other: Aroshi's Majik can only affect people who can hear or feel the sound he is using to convey it.

• Aroshi is addicted to coffee, usually has a headache, and also will chew on an unlit cigarette if things get really bad (he quit after graduating from the Academy, but still carries a pack with him everywhere). He also has a fondness for red wine.

• To date, Aroshi never laughs. He may chuckle, but only in a polite kind of way.

• Aroshi is sort of a neat freak, and sort of a germaphobe. He's big on washing his hands and cleaning things.

• Aroshi hates being called sir, lord, mr, maji, etc. He prefers Aroshi.

Secrets

Aroshi is from Earth, not World. Not everyone knows this -- mostly, the information is restricted to higher up White Fleet personel, and people Aroshi has told (Amart and Justin).

Aroshi's real name is Joshua Harper. Nobody knows this.

Powers

Aroshi is the High Red Maji, which means he has unprescedented Red Majik. Aroshi's majik works through concussive sound. Anyone who hears the sounds he uses -- be it simple footsteps, finger tapping, snapping, or the beat of his drum -- falls under his power. He is highly trained and can control masses of people simultaneously.

Connections

As a High Maji and now as interim King, Aroshi has access to any files or information held by the Centrian Empire. He also is close with the White Fleet, and if he needs to, is likely to be able to obtain access to choice information that is otherwise restricted by the Fleet. Aroshi also has strong allies in many places, including Raqille Skyfire, King of the Skyfire Bandits.
