Sandbag is a bag of sand who is usually used for Home-Run Contests. After going insane and becoming evil, though, Master Hand agreed to not have him get battered so much (instead he just made Sandbag clones). Sandbag is now the receptionist and announcer for Smash Bros. tournaments.
History
The original Sandbag was made differently from future incarnations. Specifically, he(?) could feel pain. Who knows why Master Hand decided to make he feel pain, but eventually the constant beating up led it to go insane and become evil. Its first plan was to take over Star World or do some damage to it or something, and it somehow roped Dark Matter and Missingno. into working for him. Specifically, he had Missingno. keep The Yoshi Bodyguards, an up-an-coming group of heroes, busy while he and Dark Matter worked on other plans.
Unfortunately, Missingno. was stopped, and Sandbag had to take things into his own... well, you know what I mean. He sent Dark Matter to try and possess the YB, but it failed the first time. Sandbag came to them claiming to be on their side, but due to the YB splitting up to deal with another threat, Sandbag was only able to get Dark Matter to possess... well, Topper. This plan was foiled as well, Sandbag was found out, and he was defeated at some castle. Or maybe they teleported away which inexplicably defeated him. Iono.
Sandbag later joined FOEA, but as it was largely immobile, had no way of defending itself, and wasn't exactly an evil mastermind, it was mostly useless and just angry at everyone. After FOEA disbanded Sandbag returned to Master Hand, learned that a new line of Sandbags that couldn't feel pain were being made, and the original Sandbag was rehired as a receptionist and announcer for Smash Stadium.
Sandbag as a Species
The Sandbag Species are inanimate clones of the original Sandbag. They feel no pain and can't speak, and therefore have no union or rights or pay or anything and their job description is "Getting attacked all the time".
Trivia
- Topmonhit has no idea where the idea to have Sandbag as a villain came from, other than to come up with the strangest plot twist he could think of.
- The trophies say that Sandbag feels no pain. This is why Topmonhit made the inanimate clones; so that the trophies were technically correct, just not about the original Sandbag.
