History

Metal Sonic tracked the Chaos Emeralds to Star World and attacked Princess Peach's Castle, where they were currently being stored. It hacked into the Mushroom Kingdom television signals and demanded the kingdom surrender or it would destroy it. The Yoshi Bodyguards launched an offensive on its ship and boarded, reaching the bridge; it tried to zap them with a laser gun that sapped organic creatures' energy, but the gun was destroyed by a blast from a Dark Chaos Emerald.

While the YB were then distracted by a surprise appearance, Metal Sonic started up its cannon that would blast the Mushroom Kingdom off the map. Before it could fire though the ship was attacked by a dark and twisted version of Perfect Chaos, taking the Chaos Emeralds from it. After this, Metal Sonic got the heck out of there, leaving the YB to deal with Chaos.
