The Yoshi Bodyguard Clone Army (or the Clone Army) is a special faction of cloned soldiers created by the joint effort General Mack and overseen by Mexous "Sneezier" Sniffin to give the Yoshi Bodyguards a military force. The project was later expanded, and for a short time its number of standing forces dwarfed the Star World Defensive Forces as the main military force of Star World. After the Chronis incident, the Clone Army and the SWDF were merged. The Clone Army's genetic stock is based from old heroes of Star World, a majority of which being ex-Yoshi Bodyguard members.

Structure
The Clone Army is a military force mostly containing cloned soldiers who had donated their genetic stock to the Yoshi Bodyguards, trained through retired SWDF Special Forces operatives. The clones are put through Stabilized Accelerated Aging Therapy (SAAT) that advances the clone's aging to maturity in the space of about three months. In those months the clones are given advanced combat training and put through a strict discipline program.
The Clone Army structure mirrors that of the SWDF. Clones are divided into three branches: Army, Naval, or Spec-Op. The Army branch contains the ground, mechanized, and terrestrial forces, while Naval deals with atmospheric, space, and ship-to-ship combat. For Army and Naval branches, the clones are sorted into regiments of varying size (usually around 10,000 strong), and from there each regiment is made of ten companies. Each company is then made up of squadrons of ten to fifty.
The Spec-Op branch where the Clone Army differs from the SWDF. Spec-Op constitutes both the intelligence and commando aspects of the Clone Army. Instead of regiments, Spec-Op Forces only have companies, and usually report to a core Yoshi Bodyguard member. Spec-Op Forces operate outside standard command structure, and usually are sent ahead or behind the main army in order to disrupt enemy forces or gather intelligence. Spec-Op includes a variety of different programs, most famous being the Advanced Reconnaissance Commando (ARC Trooper) program.
History
Origins
After the Bombsphere Crisis, the Yoshi Bodyguards held a meeting to establish exactly how they could deal with future large-scale threats with only a handful of heroes. Among the ideas was recruiting a military force, but the cost of recruitment and the large population already conscripted in the Star World Defensive Forces made such an act difficult. The official resolution of the meeting was an expansion in the recruitment of Bodyguards. Behind the scenes, General Mack met with Asmodeus Yoshilier and gained the approval to create a legion of genetically engineered soldiers to be used to combat various military threats.
Yoth and the Founding
The project stewed for another year, and was kept from the other Yoshi Bodyguards. During the Yoshi Rebellion on the planet Yoth the first regiment of Yoshi Bodyguard clones were revealed. Mack lead his forces against the King of Yoth, using the clones in key surgical strikes against enemy fortifications in order to weaken the King's forces. This first regiment would be known as the 1st Founders, and numbered about 1,500. Two months into the fighting, Mack made a push for the capitol, using what rebels he had in conjunction with the Clone Army. The push failed, and before the Yoshi Bodyguard Clone Army was pulled back.
Though the Yoth Rebellion was a failure, it revealed the Clone Army to the world. There was a public objection by the Council of Star World to the privatization of a large military force, but with the support of Prime Minister Yoshi the Council stood down. The project was expanded and Mack gave control to Mexous Sniffin, who in tern appointed the newly recruited Subsourian Ereshikigal to help with the project. Through Sneezier's connections, a large amount of technology was loaned from the Cyber Bell Vanguard and the Lunar Star Technology Insitute, while Subsourian started a small magi-technical branch of the program.
The Clone Army saw action primarily against the Confederation of Universal Evil and Darkcorp in their early years, while the core Yoshi Bodyguards moved against threats such as the FOEA. Subsourian stayed behind to micromanage the workings of the Clone Army, while Mack and Sneezier maintained command from afar.
The Dark Ages
See Dark Ages
At the initial onset of the Dark Ages, the Clone Army numbered around 850,000, a project that consumed over fifty billion Federation Credits. Their technology had exceeded that of the Star World Defensive Forces due to contracts with Galactic Federation corporations and the connections to the Cyber Bell Vanguard. For a time the SWDF seemed invalidated.
The Dark Ages then set in. In the initial demonic invasion 10% of the clone army was destroyed. Through the months the Clone Army fought to hold various cities and maintain a hold on the colonies of Star World, as well as oversee the evacuation of its citizens. Several notable Clone Army factions held through the Dark Ages, as Subsourian rallied several regiments in a push against Vaufendor and ARC Trooper Commander Zeus 003 lead a team across the countryside in a guerilla campaign. After the metal-eater virus was unleashed the power of the Clone Army was invalidated, and they were forced in with refugee populations in the ruins.
In total, 75% of the Clone Army was destroyed in the Dark Ages. However, their role in holding several major cities gave them respect among the SWDF command structure, though their growing power continued to worry the Council.
Reformation and the Metal Wars
After the Dark Ages, Asmodeus vanished from the Yoshi Bodyguards, soon followed by Mack. This left Sneezier and Subsourian in charge of the Clone Army, and in charge of reforming it. In order to compensate for their loss in numbers, the formerly five-month maturity cycle was reduced to three, which shortened the life-span of the clones but allowed for a larger standing force to be produced. In addition, due to the shortening of prime genetic stock second and third generation clones were permitted from those from the initial founding, which lead to some unstable genetic flaws.
These events were leaked to the primary Yoshi Bodyguards, and then to the public, which caused a great deal of controversy over the use of clones. Many were calling for the disbandment of the project entirely. The suspension of several cloning programs hit just as the Metal Wars broke out. The clone army was called back into action, fighting several key battles, including General Kauffman's reclamation of the Titan lost on Finicia. The involvement of the Clone Army allowed the core Yoshi Bodyguards to be involved in other matters while still pressuring the Metal Overlord's forces.
Even so, now the Clone Army's presence was becoming more involved in the primary Yoshi Bodyguards. It was now common for the clone army to support the core Yoshi Bodyguards against a variety of enemy forces. The ZEUS ARC Scorch was given the right to be considered a core Bodyguard and went along on several missions.
Chronis and the End of War
Half way through the Metal Wars there was a incident on the planet Chronis, a colony of Star World. Nine armies assaulted the planet attempting to gain a foothold in the system. There was a cadre of defending SWDF Forces, named the Liberators, attempting to push back the armies on the planet. The 66th Storm Angels Regiment was given orders to pacify all armies on the planet, and given an Order Exterminatis. This meant that the Yoshi Bodyguards were given access to nuclear arms and orbital salvos, but all forces needed to be pacified. To the Yoshi Bodyguards, this also meant the SWDF. What seemed like a simple strict interpretation of orders had a darker secret; the Yoshi Bodyguards were hording illegal technology and relics on the planet and did not want the SWDF to discover them. The defenders were given an ultimatum: retreat or be attacked.
The Storm Angels stormed the Liberator's capitol of Victory Bay, killing war hero General Alexander. The Liberators later struck back, defeating the Storm Angels in the capitol and forcing a retreat. In the end the SWDF pushed back the Metal Army and maintained control of the planet.
This attack, and the discovery of illegal relics, caused an outcry among the Council. They demanded oversight over the entire workings of the Yoshi Bodyguards, and mandated a breakup of the organization. Due to the onset of the Metal Wars and the importance of the Clone Army forces to the effort, the order was not effective until the Fall of Mekkai, where the Yoshi Bodyguards lead the assault.
After the war, the core Yoshi Bodyguards were disbanded and those that remained were absorbed into the SWDF. This came with no resistance, as most had already left for their own pursuits. All cloning projects were disbanded, and the facilities were confiscated by the SWDF. The Clone Army that remained was absorbed as a branch of the SWDF, though there was an air of distrust between the clones and the SWDF soldiers for the Chronis Incident. Subsourian and Sneezier were given the positions of Generals, and maintained their standing as Supreme Commanders of the Clone Army.
A Fade Into History
Gradually the Clone Army began to die off, whether it be from aging or battles. The first generation had finally hit their ten years lifespan, and the accelerant that kept them at maturity finally killed them. The Clone Army maintained a strong role even through the Star World Civil War, holding positions as Subsourian's personal guard. Many lost their lives to the war however; by the end of the war only 20,000 clones remained in service.

Trivia
- The Yoshi Bodyguard Clone Army is based off of the Republic Clone Army of the Star Wars Franchise.
- There is debate as to who created the Clone Army in the actual forum RP. Most evidence points to their appearence being by Mack in his Yoth story, but Mack insists that Sneezier created them before the Yoth story.
