Raven's Prophecy

The prophecy, pertaining to what Raven would do, was made before her birth, as hinted by her mother, Arella, when she stated "the promise of your birth was absolute". Her father, Trigon, and evil demonic being, would use her, as a portal, to come to Earth and claim it as his.

The prophecy had been foreshadowed by ghostly beings from statues in The Prophecy (episode), with a criptic warning.

"The gem was born of evil's fire,

the gem shall be his portal.

He comes to claim,

he comes to sire,

the end of all things mortal."

Raven becoming the portal.

The warning speaks of Trigon being Raven's father, as the gem was actually Raven. The prophecy also states that Raven will become the portal for him in order to claim and sire the earth, thus bringing the last truth to come true, "the end of all things mortal".
