The episode starts off with Robin endlessly playing a tape of Slade over and over again. He is determined to find the answer to where his powers came from, what the "S" mark means (The Mark of Scath), and why he was after Raven. Meanwhile in her room, Raven is on a fiery manifestation of what she was going to bring after she fulfills the prophecy. Raven surveys the damage, seeing the mark of Scath written on stone, with sharp stalagmites sticking upward around the sign, and fiery lava surrounding it. The reverie is broken off soon, however, as Slade appears behind her, after jumping off a few buildings in the distance. Soon the vision ends, and Raven searches through the books, in meditating position, in order to find out what the symbol means.
