Hyde Road - Story Outline

The story of Hyde Road focuses around two main characters Carla Yale and Gavin Hart.

In principal I am not opposed to adding future main characters to the story, however until such time as the main story plots for these two have been filled out I want to personally avoid getting distracted with additional complications.

The basic plot is Carla is travelling through her home town Mistyhill Creek on her way to an interview in the city on the other side of the Harkfort Mountains. While there she stops in to a local cafe, Cafe ‘L Casa. She is due to cross the mountains this afternoon but there is a blizzard blowing in over the mountains, which leaves her in a quandary as to what is the right thing to do. At the same time, escaped convict, Gavin Hart is at the same coffee shop.

It seems fate has destined these two to meet in what seems to be at first glance a whirlwind fantasy of magnetism and lust, but as the story unfolds the two are each others only chance for surviving their little mountain retreat. Gavin is his own worst enemy, literally. Suffering from dissociative identity disorder he is tailed by his narcissistic, sadist, psychotic, but to name a few of his vices, alter-ego, Jack.

Jack has assisted Gavin in escaping prison, the details of which remain a mystery to Gavin, in order to retrieve a bag that was hidden in the town, the contents of which are very important to Jack and Gavin decided he would rather not know why. After successfully retrieving the bag he stops for a caffeine injection before heading back to his hideout in the mansion up on the pass. However fate has conspired with the ghosts of Jacks past to make things difficult for Gavin and Jack.
