History

Production and Federation Name Changes

RLSW was opened by Drake Cannon in 2006. Originally the Round Lake School of Wrestling (RLSW), RLSW then changed in the fall of 2006 to People's Technical Wrestling (PTW). However, the league was constantly changing for something new almost every month. They began using a trampoline like most popular federations back in the timeframe and later built posts and ropes around it. Soon, RLSW constructed a makeshift wrestling ring and sought a reputation for being of a pure technical style altering to Professional Technical Wrestling. The ring was only for temporary implementation as if was too dilapidated for usage and resembled a base.

In June 2007, they came full force with a 15x15 professional wrestling ring and financed a steel cage and barricade. Around their one year anniversary, they built an upper value entrance stage with a ramp. In February 2008, RLSW began producing online full length one-hour episodes of Strive. On February 13, 2008, management ultimately met the decision that PTW was not suitable, and the federation became Round Lake Syndicate Wrestling and gradually kept to the premise of a wrestling base. That year, RLSW hosted arguably one of the most extravagant interpromotional backyard wrestling night spectacles in history known their their annual flagship event, RLSW No Remorse 3, which had backyard wrestlers from federations located in New York, Kentucky, and Connecticut.

North East Backyard Wrestling website

RLSW opened a website at nebyw.com aimed at showcasing the eastern side of backyard wrestling with the creation of Northeast Backyard Wrestling (NEBYW). The website contained an embed player from Mogulus (now Livestream) with most of RLSW's weekly Strive episodes and supercard events available on-demand or after a specific time of airing usually on Wednesday nights.

RLSW No Remorse 4

From July 17-19, RLSW was at the the center of a three-day supershow event during their fourth annual, RLSW No Remorse 4 which unknowingly became the very last event the federation ever held. RLSW NR4 featured several matches on all three days with the high profile matches overall being The Perfection versus Murph, The Prodigy versus B Cubed, Marcus Centofante versus AJ Badd in a Career Threatening match for Cenotofante and AJ Badd versus Genocide for the RLSW World Championship.
