Prime Ministers

Jose Maria Neves

Neves was Cape Verde's prime minister when USGovSim's current reset began on January 1, 2007. He remained prime minister until 2011.

Gilberto de Landim

De Landim took over from Neves as prime minister in 2011. Given the timing of elections, it is likely that he remained prime minister until either 2016 or 2021.

Antonio Lopes

Prime minister Lopes was first mentioned in 2021, suggesting that he became prime minister following either the 2016 or 2021 election. He has encouraged lobster and tuna fishing, fish processing, and tourism. Other agricultural gains are impossible, due to the lack of water. Because efforts to join the European Union continue to be rebuffed, Lopes is focusing on a developing a strong position within ECOWAS.
