Winston Churchill

Winston Churchill was prime minister of England during WWII. He also won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1953.

Churchill may be best known for a number of speeches he gave:

He inspired the people of England to kick some Nazi ass.

There are also a number of famous anecdotes about Churchill. Among the best are:

  • A woman said to him, "Why, Winston, you're drunk!" to which he replied, "Madam, I'm drunk. And you're ugly. In the morning, I'll be sober. And you'll still be ugly."
  • Another woman, who clearly hadn't learned her lesson, told him, "Winston, if I were your wife, I'd poison your tea," to which he replied, "Madam, if I were your husband, I'd drink it."
  • He was an admirable cad.
