Miao Yin

Miao Yin is a college student living at the Wei Society while she attends university to become a doctor. Hao Wei, as superintendent of the complex, serves as her guardian and controls the money the Society and Miao Yin's parents provide her for clothing and other expenses, while she in turn takes on training as his apprentice in Wu Lung training as well as minding Lao Ma and the Grandmothers. Miao Yin alternates between seriousness and flippant disregard for tradition as only a third generation Chinese can, often times using her cantrips to change her eye colour or hair colour for the day. She also has a vindictive side, as evidenced by the meal presented to Hao and Dewei the day after their jaunt to the Museum over the missing Fu Dogs. In her mind the sudden and intense pain sneaking up from her Habanero-Dave's Insanity Sauce coated stir-fry was suitable pay back for forgetting her at the museum at eleven o'clock at night and forcing her to walk home in the cold, pouring rain...though the Hello Kitty Toaster Hao used to bribe himself back into her good graces was a nice plus.

Recently Miao Yin participated in the binding ritual to trap Renxli and took on the war form of a Chinese sword weilding acrobat female. When all was over she was chosen by the ancestors to become a full Minister of Heaven, and got to have Jade Wei as her guide and Avatar.
