The Emerald City Shadows chronicle is set within Seattle and more specifically the Emerald City Court, its Seelie Court. Patroned by Baroness Julianna Yulani ap Fionna, the sidhe alter-ego of Julia Hardgrave, sister of one of Seattle's largest software moguls.

Thus far only a young nocker named Brian Spencer has been commissioned to work for the Baroness, only to find himself in conflict with his arch-nemesis, the Son of Ether, Bartholemew Umbreton Pennyworth III.
