Adrijin Football Federation

From Adrian Union

The Adrijin Football Federation, also known as AJFF, is the international governing body of Adrijin Football(soccer). It was founded by dizflip of Newport on June 2, 2006 as SimCity Football Federation but was renamed after Newport's secession from the USCN in 2007, and was refounded on November 20, 2007 under the current name. The AJFF logo was created by the Newport Football Federation.

History

As organizations like the USCN began to pop up all over the SimWorld in early June of 2006, dizflip proposed an idea of a football organization in a USCN summit held in Muyangguniang. The other USCN leaders apporved the plan and the SimCity Football Federation was established. The 1st SimCity Football Tournament was held in the city of Corona in Southern Newport. With only two venues, the Old Corona Football Field and the former Westcoast Arena in Portsmouth, only four nations participated in the tournament with Muyangguniang national football team being the champions. The second tournament was held in Georgiapolis. Dubbed as the 2nd SimCity Football Tournament, it was changed to SimCup 2006 by the host nation and changed again to SimCup II by the SCFF in 2007. 12 nations participated in this tournament with multiple venues. Although the SimCup II was scheduled to be held on July 2006, the tournament was postponed because of a political crisis between Georgiapolis and Muyangguniang and wasn't restarted until January 2007.

In October 2007, Newport and Georgiapolis seceeded from the USCN taking the SCFF and the SimCup along with them as they are the rightful owners of the organization and changed the name of the governing body to Adrijin Football Federation.

Participation Policy

Generally, the SimCup is exclusively for Adrian Union members only. In a move to try to continue keeping the games exclusive but allow states from other unions to participate, they must follow these circumstances:

  • The union or state must be invited to participate.
  • The union must be an AU ally in order to be invited.
  • The union states may be disqualified if the alliance is broken during the games.

Currently, there have only been two unions that were invited to participate in the SimCup, one of which was SCJU, which on Feb. 2008, was disqualified after the AU-SCJU Alliance was broken during the games. The other union given an invitation was Scandia Union, which was founded by a former USCN member like the AU, hence it was only fitting to allow them to participate.
