The Wizard of Mintop

The Wizard of Mintop is an unused story by Topmonhit. It was originally slated to occur sometime around Pokemon Platinum 3 and Icy Heart of Darkness! The Final Story of Sneen. The story involved one of the few meetings of Slubes Series characters meeting up with another one of Topmonhit's characters; namely, Whirl.

Locations: Mintop, Conrad's World

Story

The story officially begins with the main characters (Team TOT or Yoshi Bodyguards), but prior to that it begins when Whirl was fiddling with his portal producer, trying to make portals to other dimensions. Instead, he merely made one that brought him to Mintop, where he met Numer, Zeth and Cherry. However, Whirl also brought a Chaos Emerald with him, and when Conrad attacked them, he got his tentacles on the orbs, a Chaos Emerald, AND Whirl's Portal Producer. All of these together caused a huge rift, sending them all out of the dimension.

The story officially begins when the main characteres are inexplicably sent to another dimension somehow. This dimension was never named, but was similar to the Land of Oz. Trying to get back home, they were told to go see the Wizard, so they began to go on their way. Along the way they came across Numer, Zeth, Cherry and Whirl, who had inexplicably come there as well after the portal producer malfunctioned. They had an orb each, but that left three others out there along with Conrad somewhere.

They continued on until they located the Wizard's palace, who told them to bring him the remaining three orbs. Conrad's minions had them, so they went to a tall castle on a mountain where they obtained an orb Czar Speist and Blastard had, then a jungle castle which held an orb that Turkle and Rivep had, and a volcano where Slicer and Cagnorm held the final orb. When they returned to the Wizard, he told them to leave the seven orbs there and leave. They refused, and it was found out the Wizard was in fact Conrad. Conrad used the Chaos Emerald and the Portal Producer (now the Dimensional Distortion Producer) to destroy the dimension they were in, which was actually a dimension Conrad had created with the DDP.

Nothing else of the story was ever developed.

Reason For Being Unused

The second half of the story had nothing developed, and the overall story idea seemed rather dry and boring to Topmonhit and it was simply canned.

Trivia

• If not obvious, the first half of the story is based off The Wizard of Oz.
• Whirl and the Slubes have never actually met outside this unused story.
• This story is neither a YB Story or Topmonhit Story; although it was originally created during the time of the YB, it was still planned to occur after Topmonhit Story began.
