Gisho Story was the first YB story to occur after The Dark Ages had ended, and was Topmonhit's first of four stories to wrap up events that began in the Dark Ages. It involved Oshy and the other YBs learning more about Oshy's past.

Story
The Beginning
Before the story officially had begun, Oshy and his four brothers had found out where they were from Gisho Island, due to some dreams they had been having. When they found the island, they met their father, Duller, a gray Yoshi, and learned about the past of Gisho Island, including how it was hit with a meteor long ago. After the Dark Ages, occured, Oshy was going to tell everyone in the YB about all this.
Meteor Problems
He was unable to when the alarm went off and 4 meteors were found up in the sky heading for four locations: The YB HQ, Toad Town, Yo'ster Isle, and Glitzville. They were able to easily destroy them using a YB ship, but the problem was that those four locations were where Oshy's brothers were. Once they gathered up Oshy's brothers, Oshy explained everything finally, but then they found out there was yet another meteor heading for them!
This meteor, however, was destroyed by Mack, who somehow destroyed it without the use of a ship. At any rate, suddenly a nearby space station that was in the general direction the meteors had come from fired an atomic bullet bill at the ship they were in. The bullet bill was destroyed with a shot, but the ship was rocked so much it crashed onto the space station.
Father Time
Inside the space station, they found a massive koopa who called himself Morton Koopa Sr.: Bowser's father. They began to battle, but nothing they did seemed to be able to hurt him. Then, Oshy got an idea--while Sonic and Shadow distracted Morton, Yisho, Oshy and Jalapeno went up to Morton's meteor cannon and blasted it until one of the meteors that was the ammo was knocked out. It slammed into Morton, destroying nearly the whole space station, and sent Morton flying off into space.
They all returned to Gisho Island, but there they learned that Duller had become ill. Soon after, he died. Oshy and his brothers learned who their father was, and soon after, he died... Oshy decided to spend some time away from the YB with his brothers and their adopted mother, Moll E.
Original Story
The original story has many changed plot points. The two main changes were changed because Topmonhit absolutely despised the first and thought the second didn't fit with Oshy's personality.
Duller
The original story had a dark side of Duller working for Morton Koopa Sr. Dark Duller would have been tossed out of the space station by Morton, which would have killed him and then Light Duller soon after. Topmonhit, however, absolutely despised that plot, and so simply changed it to Duller being ill and dying of the illness.
Giga Yoshi
The other major change involves Oshy becoming a Giga Yoshi. While this was a trait of Oshy for quite a while, Topmonhit never used it and eventually realized it doesn't fit with Oshy's bookworm personality, and so he got rid of it for that simple reason.
Trivia
- A Giga Yoshi is from Superbanjo's comics; in an early comic, Fawful had a magic fruit he planned to use, but both it and he was eaten by a yoshi. The yoshi would return in Quest for the DS as a Giga Yoshi. Tingle almost used it for his own purposes, but it eventually ate him, and in order to return it to the Mushroom Kingdom, Link and Ganondorf had to work together.
- The Morton Sr. Space Station will be the main inspiration of a more sinister superweapon, the dreaded Colony Railgun that can cause extreme damage to any planet.
Connections to Other Stories
- One year later, Topmonhit introduced Princess Apricot Gisho and Professor Oh Gee as characters from Gisho Island. It has never made any sense that Oshy never knew of their existance, but Topmonhit says to just go with it.
- Morton Koopa Sr. would return in The Yoshi Bodyguards in Lemon Lime Time... and then both Morton and Duller would return in Icy Heart of Darkness! The Final Story of Sneen!
