Colony Railgun

The colony railgun is the Metal Army's main Superweapon made out of Star World's O'Neill cylinder Space Colony. It was used in the midpoint of the Metal Wars to take out targets from a very long distance. It works by launching asteroids using magnetic currents caused by two rolling rail magnets to propel the ammunition to the target. The damaged caused by the Colony Railgun is collosal compared to Morton Koopa Senior's space station. To increase it's speed up to faster than light, it uses a hyperdrive gate to send the asteroid into hyperspace. The asteroid's speed will cause major disaters if impacted on the target's surface. It has massive consequences for the target, usually drastic changes in climate and weather such as nuclear winter, and the loss of land due to the impact or worse, the target's destruction. Because of the tremendous damage caused by colony railgun, any type of the Colony Railgun firing is usually viewed as the use of a weapon of mass destruction and a war crime. Many Federation mid-rim worlds were lost to this weapon and became the symbol of dread and fear.
