Alister is one of Paper's characters in Yoki that seems to be considered mediocre by some. He's a kind of oldish Sneasel that was married to Mona before Jack murdered her in her sleep. After which, he became just a bit more bitter toward the world and left his home to think about things.
Paper is hoping to remedy the mediocrity within some length of time so either everyone can agree he's better or he's dead or something. BETTER OR BUST

History
Meeting Mona
One night, Mona decided to go buy some SHOES (whether or not she can wear them is ~irrelevant~) ((SHE FUCKING LOVES SHOES)). As it was the middle of the night, she was the only customer, and there was only one clerk at the time. Just as she headed to the counter to buy the new shoes, a robber (armed with, well, claws) rushed into the store, and demanded all of their money.
Naturally, Mona was surprised. She made a split second decision to turn and flee to the back of the store. The robber was about to give chase when the clerk jumped in front of him, ready to fight back.
Meanwhile, Alister was strolling around town when he heard what seemed like a robbery taking place; he could hear a lot of yelling and distasteful name-calling, as well as a struggle. He ran to get a closer look, and his suspicions were confirmed. He hid behind the wall to wait for the criminal to let his guard down. Alister heard a gasp of pain, and took a look in the window again. The criminal was bending over close to the door for some reason; Alister took his chance to take the criminal down.
He swung the door open to knock him down, and proceeded to painfully slam him into the ground. As Alister finished pulling the criminal's hands behind his back, he noticed someone moving in the back of the store. He was about to run and attack the other "intruder" too when Mona stopped hiding and told Alister not to attack her.
She noticed that the clerk was slashed up, bloody, and no longer moving. Alister looked over after she mentioned it, and tried to start a small discussion to get her off the thought of someone dying in front of her. At first, it was just a bunch of serious things and the weather. Then they talked more about personal experiences, and Alister had already called in back up to get the assailant into jail.
Eventually, back up came and took the assailant into custody. Upon entering the store, one of the officers joked around, saying that Alister must've killed the clerk too. ... But he didn't laugh, so the officer was probably all grumpy about him being a killjoy.
And so, that is how Alister and Mona first met; through Alister just doing his job.

- Alister tried to be in various police organizations but was rejected multiple times.
- The only love he ever had was with a woman who loved shoes more than she loved life.
- Alister does not bother to find love because he is one of those dark and shady types who loves revenge more than he loves love.
- Alister tried to drive a cool cop car once but realized he didn't have thumbs and quit.
- Do you really need thumbs to drive a car? I mean, sure, it'd help, but you could still probably get a grip with just fingers. I dunno, just guessing here.
