I am frequently asked what is the best hotel on Maui? That's like asking who's sexier, Jessica Alba or Jessica Simpson! The solution is, it is all a matter of personal style.
Personally, the best Maui resort is Papakea Resort in Honokowai. Papakea Resort has three lighted tennis courts, two 18-hole placing greens and two water front shuffleboard courts. There's also two pools, each with fly massage and sauna.
Papakea Resort has 13 acres of exotic tropical landscaping, beautifully manicured lawns, quiet lagoons with Koi fish and foot-bridges. There are coconut palms scattered around the location and you'll see spectacular sunsets over the lovely islands of Lanai and Molokai.
Papakea Resort is found near world class shopping, championship golf courses and wonderful dining establishments. Which means you certainly are a very quick drive from Kapalua and Napili Bays to the North and traditional Lahaina city to the South It is very nicely located. The largest supermarket on the island is a few blocks away so you can stock up on food to organize in your condo.
Papakea Resort has 11 structures that house 2, 1 and 3 bedroom condos. All the houses have been located to give you great views of varied forms. A few of the condos are positioned so that they have water top views. These apartments are about 30 feet from the ocean. A lot of the apartments have at the very least an view that seems out towards the beautiful Pacific ocean. A number of the condos are garden view condos and, trust in me, these aren't bad opinions at all. The gardens are positively beautiful and it's an extremely relaxing view.
Papakea Resort has condos in different degrees of upkeep. A number of them are preserved a lot better than others but that is just how it's at any Maui hotel. If you remain in a privately-owned property I'll say this, though...you won't have a negative experience. All of the condos we've access to at Papakea Resort are top-of-the-line Maui condos and they're preserved very nicely! Just stick to privately-owned apartments on Maui and you ought to have a fantastic experience!
