The End-of-the-Week Party, or more simply, The Dance, is the culmination of camp and the highlight of the week for many campers. The celebration starts out by recognizing a multitude of awards, such as Superlatives winners, top teams, Volleyball Tournament and Basketball Tournament winners, top students, and Skit Night top performers. At some point, campers and counselors with July birthdays are also recognized. After the awards, the party begins! Counselors help to deejay music, creating a club-like atmosphere, and campers, counselors, and staff alike dance the night away. Good behavior over the course of the week is often rewarded by the camp director by extending the dance until as late as midnight some years.
