Once a staple class of WMACS, students learned basic calligraphy (shu1 fa3) and or Chinese brush-painting (guo2 hua4) techniques with the Chinese brush (mao2 bi3). Taught for many years by the well-known Ba Lao Shi. Due to Ba Lao Shi's retirement and an inability to find new teachers, this class has not been taught since
As camper's skill levels varied, so did the quality of their paintings, ranging from masterpieces by Kevin Fang to the infamous "B-2 Bomber" by Ian Chen.
