Shabak AZA #2342, also known simply as Shabak is an Aleph Zadik Aleph chapter located in Northbrook, Illinois, where it serves the northern suburbs of Chicago. It is one of six active AZA chapters in the Great Midwest Region #61.

Board and Elections

Shabak AZA holds elections for each of the board positions each semester. Once a board is elected, it cannot serve until officially installed. Board installations occur a few weeks after elections. Shabak's current board members are as of our most recent elections:

  • Aleph Moreh: Peter Luck
  • Aleph Shaliach: Daniel Gewirtz
  • Aleph Mazkir: Joel Lasner
  • Aleph Gizbor: The Latvian
  • Aleph Kohane Godol: Sam Grobart

Advisors

Shabak currently has two volunteer advisors, Aaron Robbin and Kevin Friduss . They are volunteers who give of thier time to interpret BBYO policy and work with elected leadership to guide the chapter. They attend chapter events and are available as a resource and mentor to chapter members.

Shabak's chapter colors are blue and black.
