Shabak AZA

From Wikibbyo

Shabak AZA #2342, also known simply as Shabak was an Aleph Zadik Aleph chapter located in Northbrook, Illinois, where it served the northern suburbs of Chicago. It was a part of the Great Midwest Region #61. The chapter represented the cities of Northbrook, Deerfield, Riverwoods, Lake Forest, Arlington Heights, Glenview and Highland Park.

In June 2017, it was mutually decided by the regional staff, advisor and parents that the chapter would cease due to inconsistent chapter board leadership and laziness of its honorary board. Many factors went into the decision, however, leadership and brotherhood broke apart a year prior with many of the blame falling on 3-4 people that took the chapter down with them.

All in all, Shabak won three Invite Convention Championships, was host to several chapter and individual International Awards, including International Advisor of The Year Honors, regional board members and Godolim, and members which entered the IDF after High School.
