Apocalyptic short bus
From Wiki Resolution
Apocalyptic:
1. Of or relating to an apocalypse.
2. Involving or portending widespread devastation or ultimate doom: “now speaks in apocalyptic terms about the probable conflict ahead” (Financial Times).
3. Characterized by usually exaggerated predictions of or allusions to a disastrous outcome: “Stripped of its apocalyptic tone, what this amounts to is an advocacy of teaching names, dates and places by rote” (Stefan Kanfer).
4. Of a revelatory or prophetic nature.
Short Bus: A school bus that is, as the name implies, shorter than a normal-sized bus; it is usually van-sized. Short buses can be used by smaller school districts on routes with few students to pick up. However, a more prominent use is to transport small numbers of children to and from vocational school, or schools for children with emotional disorders or mental disabilities.
Because of this second use of the buses, "taking the short bus" or other phrases to that effect has become a pejorative slang term used to imply that someone has a mental disorder or emotional problems. Short buses themselves are also sometimes referred to in a derogatory manner as "foxy's fun bus," "syndrome trucks", "tard carts," or "tart carts."
