A sassy tomboy and country girl at heart. She's 16 and attends high school in New York City. She's also a Dreamseer.

Born and raised in the country, Amanda was the classic scruffy tomboy who grew into a smart-ass troublemaker. It wasn't that she went looking for trouble, it just seemed to find her. Like the time she and her friends went to watch the cows sleeping in the field...they weren't really going to tip that cow over, they just wanted to see how heavy it was! And it wasn't her fault she didn't pay the right amount for the fudge at the candy store, she honestly thought it only cost fifteen cents a pound!
Despite her many brushes with the law, though, Amanda managed to stay on the right side of the line between mischief and felony. She lived a happy, carefree life in the country...until she was 14 and her family decided to move to the city thanks to her father's kickass new job. Amanda protested like a little bitch, but went along with it in the end and learned to like it. Especially alienating the snobs at her new high school.
Things took a strange turn a few months ago when she started having visions. Weird visions of flames, dead people and the end of the world. After a good deal of freaking out, Amanda decided to keep this secret from her family until further notice.
[edit] Personality
Amanda isn't bad, but she's far from a misunderstood sweetheart. She does what she feels like, from telling stupid jokes in English class to hanging out with the outcasts (the ones who don't use drugs, since drugs are for dicks) to piss off the popular kids. But being spunky and independent is a both a flaw and a virtue...on one hand, her parents like that she follows her heart and not the crowd. On the other hand, they're sick of all the notes from her teachers about the stunts she's pulling.
She has her serious side, though. Amanda's family means the world to her, and the thought of them being hurt in the End of the World scares the hell out of her. But how can she protect them from a threat she knows next to nothing about?
