Gabriel Evan George "Gabe" Nelson, Jr. is the 5th Governor of Appalachia, serving from 1 January 2037-7 June 2039 (he resigned due to a scandal). He is the first Democrat to be Governor of Appalachia since Former President Whitney Mason and a Legislator from the National Catholic Association.
