• The X-Men are attacked by locals in Croatia after rescuing the President’s daughter.

• Magneto arrives in Croatia and allows the X-Men to leave. He points out that Xavier was willing to sacrifice the X-Men to save the President’s daughter.

• Jean Grey and Xavier perform experimental transplant surgery on Beast, the side effects turn his hair blue.

• Jean Grey admits to Wolverine that she is attracted to him. Cyclops observes her Grey kissing Wolverine, this coupled with his uneasy feelings towards Xavier after the Croatia incident cause him to leave the X-Men and journey to the Savage Land, where he is welcomed by Magneto.

• The President suspends the Sentinel initiative and invites the X-Men to the White House in thanks to them for rescuing his daughter.

Notes:

- Cyclops is identified by Jean Grey to be 18 years old.

- Xavier is conversing with a Ms. Rice on the phone about the White House invitation.
