• The Brotherhood of Mutants kidnap the President’s daughter from her room at New Jersey’s Princeton University. Magneto issues a statement saying that she will be executed the next time a mutant dies.

• The X-Men engage the Brotherhood in Croatia to rescue the President’s daughter.

• Beast is injured by a bomb blast during the rescue attempt. The injury is serious enough that Storm believes him to be dead.

Notes:

- It is insinuated that Wolverine has been with the X-Men for at least a couple of weeks during his training exercises.

- Present members of the Brotherhood of Mutants in Croatia are Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, Toad, Blob, and Mastermind.

- Storm is identified as not being American.

- The President’s daughter is identified as being 17 years old.

- Wolverine expresses romantic interest in Jean Grey.

- Wolverine identifies Jean Grey as being 19 years old.
