• Mastermind and Multiple Man remove select paintings (408 total) from the Louvre in Paris to be spared from Magneto’s forthcoming destruction.

• Nick Fury demonstrates to the new Sentinel armor to the Vice President in preparation for bringing the President back to the White House from L.I.N.C.O.L.N.

• Nightcrawler contacts Moira MacTaggert at her safe house in Glasgow Central Station, Scotland in an attempt to speak to Xavier. Nightcrawler is in Germany and makes plans to meet Moira at the safe house in 2 days time.

• At the Citadel (the headquarters of the Brotherhood of Mutants), Forge works on building an amplifier for Magneto’s powers.

• Magneto attacks the Space Shuttle Valiant in orbit and destroys the mutant tracker satellite that S.H.I.E.L.D. was deploying.

Notes:

- Multiple Man can create about 27 or 28 copies of himself before he starts to lose mental faculties (described as having really bad déjà vu).

- Mastermind escaped the Ultimates during the apprehension in New Jersey (Ultimate War #1) by creating an illusion that they had already apprehended him. The apprehension is stated to have occurred a “few weeks back”.

- Magneto’s favorite painting is Magritte’s La Chateau Des Pyrenees.
