• The Brotherhood of Mutants attack a missile base in Pakistan, disabling their nuclear capability. On a broadcasted message, Quicksilver indicates they have performed a similar feat in India.

• The military loses contact with an operation in the Savage Land. Xavier volunteers an X-Men team of Cyclops and Colossus to investigate it. Wolverine comes to the planning room drunk and insults Jean Grey to Cyclops. Cyclops punches him and the two get into a brawl. It is stopped by Xavier and the two are placed into detention for a night.

• Jean Grey has another psychic fit.

Notes:

- New members to the Brotherhood of Mutants include Orb-Weaver, Sumatran, Prosimian. It is indicated that Toad and Sabretooth have left the Brotherhood. NOTE: Sabretooth has not been a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants in this continuity as of yet. He was a member of Weapon X, but is not shown with the Brotherhood until Ultimate X-Men #26. It can be assumed that he joined the brother hood after recovering from his battle with Wolverine in Ultimate X-Men #12 and then quits in disgust at Quicksilver’s leadership, and then rejoins when Magneto returns. At the Brotherhood’s headquarters, a few other new members are show. They are a group of animal evolutionaries, a new mutant subgroup. Among them are a dog-man (Saluki) and a centipede-woman named (Kathleen).

- Jean Grey is revealed to have underwent 4 weeks of continuous assessment regarding her physical and mental condition after her recent nervous attack.

- It is revealed that Beast has broken up with Storm.

- Kitty Pryde adapts the name Shadowcat.

- Jean’s powers are shown to be visible to her as a group of spectral imps.
