• Gwen Stacy sits with Eddie Brock in his dorm room after the reggae concert. Eddie attempts to kiss Gwen and she stops him. She tells him she’s only 15 years old to which Eddie seems unconcerned. He implies that Gwen is a slut for coming up to his college dorm room with him and that this is what she wanted. Gwen gets upset and leaves. Eddie calls her a “tease” on her way out.
• After Gwen is gone, Eddie turns on the television. On the news, he sees a report of Spider-Man running around the city in a new black costume. Eddie recognizes the costume as the Venom suit and runs to the science building to check on the sample.
• Eddie finds Peter Parker, dressed in dirty clothes and without shoes, taking the suit sample from the cooling locker. Eddie then notices that the roof window is open and that there are black hand and foot prints on the wall leading down from the window. He then notices that Peter’s feet have some of the same substance on them.
• Eddie demands Peter tells him what he is doing and why he is in the lab. Peter replies that the thing their fathers created, the Venom suit, is uncontrollable and cannot be contained. Peter asks Eddie to let him take the suit and destroy it. Eddie then tries to grab the vial from Peter forcibly. Peter picks Eddie up with one hand. This unnerves Eddie and he asks Peter if he is Spider-Man.
• Peter has Eddie sit down and then tells him the events of the night (Ultimate Spider-Man 34 and 35) ending with him stealing the clothes he is wearing out of the garbage.. He then tells Eddie that he has seen experiments in the past where people have tried to create super powers and have ended up destroying themselves. Peter says that he cannot bear the thought of their father’s work being used as a weapon. He tells Eddie that it has to be destroyed so that it cannot be used to harm someone.
• Eddie says that the suit is all he has left of his father. Peter replies by saying that he could feel the suit trying to kill him and that he almost killed a man while wearing it. He tells Eddie that he is going to take the suit and destroy it before someone else can get a hold of it. He shows Eddie how important that this is by telling him that he has told no one else his secret identity; that it is that important that Eddie believes everything he is saying is true. Eddie seems to accept that the action is for the best and leaves the lab.
• Peter leaves with the suit sample. He goes to a nearby factory and drops it in a smokestack, incinerating the suit.
• Peter returns home to find Gwen waiting for him. Gwen tells Peter that his friend, Eddie, is a dirtbag and hit on her. She then tells Peter that Eddie still tried after she said no. Peter tries to defend Eddie a little, but Gwen tells him that she has a sixth sense about these things and that Eddie is a bad person.
• Back at Empire State University, Eddie returns to the lab and finds that Peter took the sample. He then opens another cooling locker and produces another vial of the suit, talking to himself about always keeping the specimen separate in an ongoing experiment. He then opens the vial and sticks his hand into it.

- The news report that Eddie watches, shows Spider-Man fighting the Shocker.
- Gwen Stacy states that she is 15 years old.
