• The Brotherhood of Mutants kidnap the President’s daughter from her room at New Jersey’s Princeton University. Magneto issues a statement saying that she will be executed the next time a mutant dies.
• The X-Men engage the Brotherhood in Croatia to rescue the President’s daughter.
• Beast is injured by a bomb blast during the rescue attempt. The injury is serious enough that Storm believes him to be dead.
