I am Tyler Zahnke. I have been interested in music all my life, and started playing the piano at a very young age. I would always record myself on casette tapes, playing and singing random songs. In late 2003, I got an electronic keyboard; a Yamaha PSR275. With that, I could add more effects to my music, and have more than just a simple piano sound. In 2004, I recorded several tracks, one of them being the mario intro music with electronic beeps, another one being the Mario sub-intro music using simulated bagpipe sounds, and many other video-game sounds. I also was doing covers of the most popular Hawaiian songs. By 2006, I was playing music as well as designing computer apps using simple JavaScript interpreters, MS-DOS interpreters, HTML readers, etc. and having fun with it. From 2007-2011, I took piano lessons, but what about everything in between? Well, I wrote a lot of instrumental compositions. In late 2009, my mind was coming up with wild ideas (probably because I obsessively listened to Bob Rivers, the Go Go Boys, the Neil Rogers Show, Kinsey Sicks, and "Weird Al" Yankovic). By March of 2010, I started writing comedy bits, the first of being an original comedy song, entitled "Wikia!" I played around with the song, playing it on my Yamaha keyboard. In late March, I had received a suggestion for a comedy bit. The suggestion had something to do with parodying Imogen Heap's hit song "Wait It Out", and making it "Bleep It Out". In September 2010, I finally acted upon this suggestion. Between March and September, I did little comedy bits about software beta-testing and such. Most of those quickly became unfunny, but I picked some to keep. I did many other bits, such as "Selling Ellipse on Ebay", a parody of Bonny Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" all about the initial release of Imogen Heap's ''Ellipse'' album being on eBay, thanks to a bumbling reviewer. I continued doing itty bits through 2010. By 2011, I went through my parodies, and extended them to "full length", as we call it in the world of parody. I also have comedy skits, such as "CREAM OF WHAT?", a parody of the average Cream of Wheat commercial. I also have a skit called "I. C. B. I. ", about a fictional computer program that can convert SVG into JPEG, and JPEG into SVG (the latter being nearly impossible, which is why this skit is funny). Some bits, like "One Week of the Internet" and "The Uncyclopedia Hillbillies" I had to put a lot of thought into. Some, such as "Mom's Burnt Cherry Pie", "Lizzie, Lizzie, Lizzie", and "B-E-L-I-E-V-E" (a parody of the old song "R-E-S-P-E-C-T") are not finished. There is a slight chance that "B-E-L-I-E-V-E" will not be finished, and all references to it will be deleted. Check out my [[project:Comedy Bits|bitlist]] and my [[project:Demo Tape|demo memos]], which are available thanks to a lousy, lonely old File Up Yours (fuy!) surver that I'm managing right now.
