The mansion of madness was owned by the Brotherhood of Ultra-Science, until it was burned down in 1994.
Throughout the mansion you fight various monsters created by Jacob Crow, such as ghosts, zombies and various other monsters.
You also meet Jo-Beth Casey, who is trying to photograph zombies.
