Zero is a calm and often reason driven reploid. He�s lived for centuries; he holds his duty as his first priority even over the cost of his own life. Though underneath the strong maverick hunter professionalism, there�s a serious man who is driven by his past and present. Since he had to take down his love Iris in the fourth war he�s closed himself off and throws himself into battles. The events of the fifth war haunts him, reminding this Wily created reploid of who made him and of the thing he could very well become if pushed too far.
The original carrier of the maverick virus, Zero refuses to remain close to anyone save Axl and X. He has a deep hate for mavericks and Sigma sometimes losing his cool to reveal the endless pit of rage that hides in his core. If someone he cares about gets hurt he flies into a berserker rage. There is almost nothing one can do to get him out of this mode he gives less of a damn about himself and becomes a monster. Its speculated by Maverick Hunters Intelligence that this is his original programming surfacing.
However there is one mode of his personality he denies and even fears. The Maverick virus; in this mode heaven help you. Insane is the best word to describe this side of the mighty hunter. Sigma was nothing compared to this violent and aggressive personality. Anything and everyone in his path is at risk when he is infected. When he cares about you Zero will do anything for you.
Even die. He�s a nice guy under all that training and rough exterior. And by nice I mean he�s calm and likeable. He�ll never be gentle or shy too much has happened to kill that in him. He�s a bit blunt but he�s a good friend who sees the logical side of things. If he doesn�t like you he�ll still be professional about things. He never lets a grudge invade on his duties. Recently his attitude is cockier and he feels fighting the mavericks is just something that needs to be done. Its likely his recent shift of attitude is partly due to prior events that had him used a tool to unleash a deadly virus.
[edit] Powers and Abilities
Like all reploids, Zero has inhuman strength and speed. How far this strength succeeds a human�s is unclear, but the fact remains he can take the kind of damage that would kill one of them. Among those of his kind, Zero is one of the quickest with Axl and some mavericks beating him out by just a little bit. Like X, he�s able to copy the attack power of a maverick and use it in his own way. He�s able to stuck to walls and slide down at a fixed rate, he can also �kick� his way right back up that same wall.
This doesn�t work with ice or spikes, he�ll take damage from spark objects just like anyone else. The hunter is able to form one of his arms into a buster cannon which can fire a short burst or be charged for a powerful attack. He relies more on his Z-saber, a sword-like weapon that uses a blade of energy. Depending on the time he does have other attacks but they come from maverick attack powers he�s acquired. He�s got okay range, but he excels as a close range fighter.
There is one ability/power, Zero has that is rather deadly to machinery; the Maverick Virus. Created by Dr. Wily, by coming in contact with Zero other reploids and machines are infected and taken over. It causes them to go berserk and often rampage. This shouldn�t be a problem though because of how primitive the machinery is when compared to both his and the original Megaman�s timeline. Or it can just go bye bye, and we don�t have to deal with it. I�m for either way really.

Zero Omega was created by Dr. Wily the infamous mad scientist. Designed to be the killer of Megaman and in the future Megaman X, he brought the close to the 20XX era. Though this is unknown to him, Zero has many gaps in his memory. He was awoken in the era of 21XX by Sigma. The two battled due to Zero�s original programming and he was defeated. It is speculated it was at this point the maverick virus Zero is carrying infected Sigma back then. But this is a mere rumor. However Dr. Cain rebuilt Zero and he enlisted in the Maverick hunters. Sigma took him under his wing and trained him to be an elite hunter only to go maverick shortly after the training was complete.
He looked after X as the first war broke out and helped him as he could. He�s kept a sharp eye on the reploid. He even died for X to destroy the advantage Vile had in his powersuit. He wasn�t around during the second war save in pieces. Till Dr.Cian rebuilt him and he destroyed Sigma�s copy of him with one slash of his Z-saber. Together, X and Zero made their way to Sigma�s lair. During the third war Zero played a strong role once again helping X through. When the base is attacked by mavericks X and Zero rush back, X was kidnapped and Zero chased after to save his fellow hunter. In Dr. Doppler�s hideout, Zero aides X in destroying the Maverick outbreak. At the beginning of the fourth war, Zero is visited in his dreams by Dr. Wily confirming the rumors he was created by the mad man. During this war Zero tries to make peace not war with the repliforce. But the Colonel of the repliforce and himself never saw eye to eye. They fought twice the first time out of pride and the second due to the colonel.
Zero is forced to kill him, and Iris upset over her brother�s death, installs one of his chips and fights Zero. He�s forced to kill her too. (A source of much angst for Zero) Once again Sigma is uncovered and defeated. Zero plays a powerful role in the fifth war. The space colony Eurasia is set to impact Earth covered in a large break out of the maverick virus. It�s unknown to others this event is caused by Sigma. Sigma�s reasons are to unlock the true evil within zero. The hunters stopped the crash and found Sigma. They went to kill him off but X was badly injured and zero also dead and left for such. Dr. Light revives X and he goes on fighting mavericks in memory of the fallen Zero.
During the sixth war, Zero shows up mysteriously repaired and carrying a new z-saber. He and X set out to defeat Gate and the imperfectly revived sigma. In the seventh war zero has taken over X�s workload when X refuses to fight. He finds and captures a mysterious reploid, Axl who was abandoned recently by the group Red Alert. Axl aides Zero in stopping his former comrades rampages and X eventually rejoins them. Zero gets nightmares of X attacking him. In the eighth war zero continues to work with Axl and X. The three of them are now the top maverick hunters. Zero is continued to be haunted by memories of the virus incident, which fuels his hate for Sigma.
When they confront Sigma he confirms that Zero was the original carrier and passed it to Sigma prior to MMX.
